I'm sure you've heard the term Alpha Male before. Most people associate this expression with an animal species: the strongest and toughest gorilla or lion that rules over the others and gets first crack at the food and the most desirable females.

For other guys, the whole idea of "Alpha Males" has a negative connotation. Perhaps to these guys, this term means the big jock who used to swagger around their campus, bullying the underclassmen and snatching all the beautiful girls. Or, you might have an Alpha Male at your job: a "man's man" who is bursting with confidence or even arrogance, and always gets what he's after. While he might be difficult to work for, you can't help but respect respect him.

But the stone-cold reality is that every of one of us possesses an Alpha Male inside of us. So, right now I'd like to give you several quick tips on how to start displaying your inner Alpha Male to women. I learned these lessons myself, and have applied them with great success...

How To Be An Alpha Male, Tip #1: Displaying your Alpha Male side means projecting charm, confidence and charisma with men AND women. You need to make this a habit -- always be expanding your social network. Look, I have known lots of dudes who have sought to to learn how to be an Alpha Male. While some of these guys become more skilled and confident when they're around women, they still act like "Beta" guys when they're around other men -- in particular Alpha Males whom they perceive to have higher status than they do.

Clearly when you go out to socialize, your primary aim is to meet girls, but establishing new friendships with "Alpha" guys is going to help your long-term game. Make a habit of this: when you're at a party, or a bar or nightclub -- and you see guys who are sending out positive, confident and are having a good time and getting attention from women -- introduce yourself to them. Strike up a conversation with a guy who's been getting attention from the ladies -- say to him, "Hey bro, it looks like you're doing pretty well with the ladies tonight. Nice job." How To Be An Alpha Male, Tip #2: My second quick tip on how to become an Alpha Male is that you need to be decisive. Don't be wishy-washy. Women respect men who lay out a path for them to follow. I'm not trying to sound like a chauvenist here, but it's the truth. Girls don't actually want to have to figure out where to have dinner, or which movie to go see. When a guy is continually deferring to her and asking HER to come up with the plans and ideas about what to do, she will actually feel a bit uncomfortable when she's with him -- because he does not project leadership and strength. He doesn't seem capable of making decisions. You need to make evident to girls, through your words and behavior, that you're the type of guy who can provide her with emotional security.

You need to step up, take control, and make decisions. Really, even if it's as unimportant as figuring out which place to go eat or have coffee. She might not always agree, but she will respect the fact that you have a definite opinion.

Wussy Move: "Maybe if you're free sometime, we could, I dunno, hang out..."

Alpha move: "Tell me your favorite romantic comedy, and I'll pick it up at the video store -- we'll watch it Friday night at my place while we eat some great take-out food." Or you might say "You mentioned you love Italian food. I happen to know this excellent restaurant only a few people know about right know, and I want to take you there. I can meet up with you Saturday night at seven o'clock."

How To Become An Alpha Male, Tip #3: Leave girls wanting more. The top Alpha Males - whether it's a business mogul, or a Hollywood star - are very busy people. They're not going to grant you endless amounts of their time. Your way of thinking should be the same with girls. Basically, you want to play it so that you are the one wrapping up the exchange first, whether it's a first encounter at a bar, or a phone call to set up a date.

See, the common guy will talk... and talk... until the woman winds up saying, "I have to go find my friend" or "it was nice chatting with you, but I need to be up early tomorrow..." Being an Alpha, you should always have a goal in mind when you talk to a girl, and accomplish that objective before the chat comes to an end. If you're vibing with a chick you met at a club, your goal could be to score her phone number. If you chat with her on the Internet, the object could be to establish when you're going to meet up with her again. The bottom line is, you've got to have a game plan, a strategy, and a method to pull it off.
